WAYS TO PUBLICIZE YOUR TYG:
-Flyers through the mail
If it is poorly prepared, a TYG mailing will likely be ignored or perceived negatively.  Try to create a flyer that is truly outstanding.  To do this purchase bright colored paper for use in publicity.  Make the flyer creative.   Add clip art and drawings to your flyer to spice up the excitement.

The next step is to make sure that you include all the information that is most important about your TYG event.  Make sure that it grabs the attention of the reader.  After reading the flyer, a TYG member should be able to answer such questions as:

1.  Who is sponsoring the event?
2.  What kind of an event is it?
3.  When (time and date) is the event?
4.  Where will it take place?
5.  How much will it cost (or is it Free!)?
6.  Who is invited?
7.  What should you wear?
8.  What should you bring to the event?
9.  How do you get to the event's location?
10.  Who should you call for more information?

WHERE DO YOU PLACE YOUR PUBLICITY?

    -Bureaus of Jewish education
    -community Jewish high schools
-community bulletin boards at libraries, town halls, local businesses and restaurants

3.  Press release for local newspapers and radio stations

4.  Media (TV, radio) news coverage of "human interest" stories at TYG events. (They are always looking for "GOOD" news)

5.  Email the people in your TYG to remind them about the events.

6.  Create a Web Page for your TYG that can post events and information.

7.  Create a youth group brochure that talks about what your youth group does throughout the year.  Also include in the brochure information on summer programs.
